sophie bridges is a writer and audio producer. versions of her work have appeared on this american life, radiolab, and reveal.
she’s the producer and editor of shell game, an independent project from journalist evan ratliff about artificial intelligence and what it feels like to be a human in a world that is increasingly not real. the show has been celebrated by the atlantic, the guardian, and vulture, among others.
sophie also produces and appears on la podcast, a weekly news show covering local politics in los angeles.
before that, she spent five years making narrative podcasts with pineapple street studios, where her work was a finalist for the pulitzer, nominated for a peabody, and won an edward r. murrow award.
sophie is most interested in telling two kinds of stories: sweeping investigative work that topples the state and leads directly to the cancellation of the 2028 olympics, and quiet personal narratives with no discernable beginning, middle, or end.
she lives in the last city on earth (los angeles).
